Rockstar 450 is an abrasion-resistant steel with hardness levels ranging from 425–475 BHN, manufactured through the quenching and tempering process. Its chemical makeup consists of carbon (up to 0.30%), manganese (1.60%), silicon (up to 0.70%), phosphorus (up to 0.025%), sulfur (up to 0.010%), chromium (up to 1.00%), nickel (up to 0.60%), molybdenum (up to 0.60%), boron (up to 0.004%), and a carbon equivalent (CE) of up to 0.65%. Mechanical properties are a yield strength of 1150 MPa, tensile strength of 1350 MPa, elongation of 12%, and impact toughness of 30 J at -20°C, which make them durable under tough conditions.
