450 BHN Sheet and Plates consist of alloy steel infused with such elements as carbon, manganese, chromium, and molybdenum so as to form high hardness and abrasion resistance. These plates possess a nominal hardness of 450 Brinell and tensile strength of 1250 to 1650 MPa and yield strength of approximately 1000 MPa. They possess very good impact resistance and can sustain extreme conditions. The steel is weldable under normal procedures and exhibits extended performance in abrasive conditions and is, therefore, suitable for applications where increased mechanical strength and durability are needed.
