ARCELOR 500 Sheets and Plates are produced using high-strength structural steel, which is mainly iron, carbon, manganese, silicon, and trace elements like chromium and nickel. The plates are quenching and tempering treated to maximize performance. They provide a minimum yield strength of 500 MPa and tensile strength of 650–850 MPa. They possess outstanding hardness and toughness, offering superior abrasion and wear resistance. Good weldability and formability are provided by low carbon content. The plates find applications in a wide range of demanding industrial processes.
