Carbon steel SA210 A1 tube consists largely of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and silicon. The carbon percentage is usually from 0.06% to 0.18%, and the manganese percentage is between 0.27% and 0.63%. Phosphorus and sulfur percentages are maintained low, usually less than 0.035% and 0.035%, respectively, for improved weldability as well as lowering brittleness. Some mechanical properties are tensile strengths of 325 MPa, yield strengths of 180 MPa, and elongation percentages of 35%, depending on the grade.
