ABS EH36 Shipbuilding Steel Sheets and Plates consist mainly of iron, with controlled levels of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and silicon, along with minor elements such as nickel, copper, and chromium. These plates have very good mechanical characteristics, such as a minimum yield point of 355 MPa and tensile strength of 490–620 MPa. Highly resistant to impact and toughness, especially in sub-zero temperatures, EH36 plates are also exceptionally weldable and formable and thus are used for maximum shipbuilding and marine engineering jobs.
