ASTM A350 LF3 low-temperature carbon steel flanges consist of carbon (≤0.20%), manganese (≤0.90%), phosphorus (≤0.035%), sulfur (≤0.040%), silicon (0.20–0.35%), nickel (3.30–3.70%), chromium (≤0.30%), molybdenum (≤0.12%), copper (≤0.40%), niobium (≤0.02%), and vanadium (≤0.03%). These flanges have a tensile strength of 485–655 MPa, yield strength of ≥260 MPa, elongation of ≥22%, reduction of area of ≥35%, and maximum hardness of 197 HB. They are heat-treated to regulate their microstructure so that they can perform to the best in low-temperature operations.
