A36 Steel Plate and Sheet is a low-carbon steel that is made up mostly of iron, with around 0.26% carbon, 0.20% copper, 0.40% silicon, and small amounts of phosphorus and sulfur. It possesses a minimum yield point of 250 MPa and a tensile strength of 400 to 550 MPa. A36 steel has good weldability and machinability and also exhibits good toughness and elongation, and thus it is a good material for fabrication and structural applications in harsh environments.
