Carbon-silicon steel plates, known as SA 515 Grade 60 Sheets and Plates, are mostly utilised for intermediate and higher temperature applications. Usually, they have phosphorus (max 0.035%), sulphur (max 0.035%), manganese (0.60–1.20%), and carbon (0.28–0.33%). In addition to having good ductility and notch toughness, these plates have outstanding tensile strength (415–550 MPa) and yield strength (minimum 260 MPa).
