Carbon Steel ASME SA 519 Grade 1026 tubing contains 0.22–0.28% carbon and 0.60–0.90% manganese and provides a strength and ductility balance. The standard chemical composition features a maximum of 0.040% phosphorus and 0.050% sulfur and provides its machinability and weldability. Mechanically, these tubes have a yield strength of 415 MPa and tensile strength of 490 MPa along with a 15% minimum elongation in the longitudinal axis to guarantee strength when stressed. The hardness measurements are 143 Brinell, 78 Rockwell B, and 149 Vickers.
