Carbon Steel A105 Forged Fittings consist of carbon (up to 0.35%), manganese (0.6–1.05%), phosphorus (up to 0.035%), and sulfur (up to 0.04%). These constituents have high strength and hardness. They possess a minimum tensile strength of 485 MPa and a minimum yield strength of 250 MPa, coupled with adequate ductility and toughness. They are most commonly heat-treated to improve mechanical performance, yielding resistance to stress and fatigue.
