Alloy Steel Gr B7M Screws are chromium-molybdenum alloy steel fasteners that possess high strength, excellent toughness, and resistance to corrosion. They have an approximate composition of 0.38-0.48% Carbon, 0.75-1.00% Manganese, 0.15-0.35% Silicon, 0.75-1.20% Chromium, and 0.15-0.25% Molybdenum. They are heat-treated under controlled conditions and tempered to soften hardness without decreasing strength, and thus they find application in those environments where resistance to high pressure and temperature is needed.
