Carbon Steel EN47 Bars consist mostly of Carbon (C) 0.45–0.55%, Manganese (Mn) 0.50–0.80%, Silicon (Si) 0.50%, Phosphorus (P) ≤0.035%, Sulfur (S) ≤0.040%, Chromium (Cr) 0.80–1.20%, and Vanadium (V) 0.15%. These bars are heat-treated at 840–870°C, then oil quenched and tempered at 150–200°C, giving a hardness of 150–200 Brinell. This balance of composition and heat treatment gives them superior strength, wear resistance, and good machinability, which makes them ideally suited for extreme applications.
